The Select button doesn't appear to do anything TV related, it's just. I believe it is the way the Samsung TV sees the controller. Select button doesn't work and remapping it in Steam doesn't do anything. I have to do this every time I power the TV off and back on as thr mapping is always messed up upon powering back on. I fix my mapping issue by navigating to Settings > General > External Device Manager > Input Device Manager > Bluetooth Device List, I select the controller and Disconnect it and then Delete it. When I power off the TV and controller and next turn on both the controller mapping is off and I've noticed that the wonky mapping actually allows the Select button to work as some other button.
Here's where my problem starts to resemble everyone else's here. The Share/Select button not working is a problem in games like Gears5 where the game locks you into the Jack spec screen or Rise of the Tomb Raider where it is the Map and skills, etc. It connects fine on our Samsung Q80 and the button mapping matches except the Select (Share) center-left button doesn't work at all and the Xbox logo button brings up Steam interface AND the Samsung Smart menu.
I have a similar problem with Xbox One S controller.
